The 23rd annual meeting of the Cheshre County Dartmouth Alumni Association was held at the Hotel Ellis, Saturday evening, December 29,1934. The following officers were elected: Edward C. Sullivan 24_president, Fuller Ripley '30 Vicepresident, Russell G. Putney '22 Sec'yTreas.
Willis O. Smith '91, Principal of the Keene High School, spoke briefly on the plumbing situation in the old days. Dartmouth students of the present time, "Dave" Putnam, Crampton Carrick, George Kingsbury, and William Watson each made short speeches about present day Dartmouth. Caryl F. Holbrook '20, gave the main speech of the evening, and kept the crowd interested for two hours with the side lights of the football season.
The association as a whole wishes to recommend a few points which may be interesting. We believe that the Dartmouth freshmen football team should have a full schedule and play the freshmen teams of Yale, Harvard, and Princeton, as well as recognized prep schools. In so doing they might attract prep school stars to Dartmouth and get a lot more fun out of the game than they will by scrimmaging the varsity. —RUSSELL G. PUTNEY '23,
