Arthur Chase has written that his son Richard, a senior in the University of New Mexico, was married on December 26 to Miss Georgia Burdell, at Albuquerque. . . . . When the letters were being written last October for our class report, Joe Veazey was ill, in bed and not fit to write, so Mrs. Veazey wrote for him and sent a better letter than he himself could have written! Numerous comments of appreciation and approbation have reached the Secretary. The general feeling seems to be that when the time comes for our next report we shall be glad to have Joe himself write, but shall insist that Mrs. Veazey also write Joe and his wife are spend\ing the winter in San Antonio, Texas, and the latest word is that Joe has been greatly benefited by the enforced rest and change in climate and hopes to be back in Bethesda by the end of April The February issue of Review of Reviews contains an article entitled "Waiting for the Final Verdict," in which are discussed various questions which have been given in the lower courts and appeals taken to the Supreme Court. One of these is the Railroad Retirement Act, which came before the District of Columbia Supreme Court. It will be recalled that Chief Justice Wheat held that the act was unconstitutional. Fred's picture appears along with those of other judges, plaintiff's counsel, and Federal officials.
