Arthur J. ("Rab") Abbotts daughter Mary graduated last year from a kindergarten training school and is now teaching a nursery school in Concord, N. H.

Helen Louise Gannon, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Gannon, was married at Jackson Heights, L. 1., on January 19, to Mr. Walter Livingston Mason.

The week following the above event Jim and Mrs. Richardson arrived in New York for shopping, theater, and whist. Part of the time they were entertained by the Gannons. Jim made top score in the initial session of the Atlantic Whist League.

The note below is added by other hands than the Secretary's, as information to which his friends are entitled.

On January 17 at the Colonial Hotel inGardner over a hundred and fifty friendsof Owen A. Hoban gave-him a testimonialbanquet on the eve of his beginning hisduties as district attorney of Worcestercounty. The company consisted of oldfriends, neighbors, and associates of Hobeand of his parents. Thomas F. Flynn ofthe Gardner News staff was toastmaster,and the speakers, besides Hobe himself,included official representatives of thelocal bank, the chamber of commerce, theschool committee, and the church, together with Mayor James A. Timpany,Assistant District Attorney Alfred B.Cenedella, Hon. Winfield A. Schuster ofthe Governor's Council, and AssociateJustice Charles H. Donahue of the SupremeCourt of the state. "Donnie" was at hisbest, his witty, cordial address effectivelystriking the keynote of the evening, andhappily picturing his lifelong friendshipwith Hobe.
