ON FEBRUARY 2ND, Occum, the club's official ground-hog, saw his shadow and as a result, the club and the groundhog went under ground for another six weeks. We expect to be out and going strong March 28th when Sid Hayward will be the guest of the club at our annual dinner.
However, all of our activities have not been under ground since the first of February. Our Alumni Interviewing Committee consisting of Professor Gilson 'l9, Dr. Long 'll, Pierre Grace '33, Harry Deckert '35, Boyd Rogers '35, Allen Lathrop '2B, Vin Meyer '26, Dan Kerwin '35, Clark Schmidt '33, and Leigh Turner 'O4 have been spending their Saturday afternoons interviewing hopeful members of the class of 1945. From all reports, the St. Louis Delegation of the Freshmen Class should be a good one, and a large one too.
Bill Byrne '3l visited on his recent stopover in St. Louis.
We couldn't go to press without some mention of our illustrious Boyd Rogers '35. Boyd has brought prestige and honor by being the son-in-law of the current Governor of the State of Missouri. Whether we will be holding our spring outing on the lawn of the Governor's mansion is questionable, but we are starting to work early on the idea.
Bill Wynne '34 visited Bob Lindstedt '34 a week or so ago and the paper has it that Walter Ross '37 is a member of the Navy with a blue suit and officer's cap.
When you are in St. Louis join us at the American Hotel Rathskellar on Saturday at 12:15. You can always find someone to argue with and if you are lucky Tom "in my opinion" Curtis '33 will take the other side of the question.
