TELEPHONIC COMMUNICATION has been established between the homes of Profs. Quimby, Blanpied, Pettee, and exSen. Patterson. An attempt was made lately by Prof. Quimby to connect Boston and Hanover but it failed .... Tis said that the "Dutchman" has got the curve first rate, but that it always takes him in the same direction Pres. Bartlett's Sunday evening talks with the seniors are among the most interesting exercises of the whole week. We only regret that the whole college cannot hear them

The officers of the freshman class for the second term are: Pres., E. N. Pearson; Vice-Pres., J. Crocker, Jr.; Sec., G. W. Patterson; Treas., N. D. Cram; Historian, H. B. Maynard The Glee Club has been engaged to participate in the exercises of the Annual State Musical Convention at Concord, on the last two days, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. They have several engagements ahead and expect to make a concert trip during the spring For the first time in several years, Dartmouth College has no students of Indian descent in any of its departments. Where's Moor's Charity School! .... Mr. Perley's singing school has opened with an attendance of over forty—about half ladies. All classes were represented Prize speakers for next Commencement are: Acad. Dept., seniors, A. F. Andrews and F. S. Hotaling; juniors, L. E. Blair and C. M. Hough; sophomores, D. J. Foster and A. L. Spring. Scientific Dept., first class, E. H. Fowler and F. J. Hutchinson; second class, W. M. Mason and A. G. Lombard; third class, J. H. King and F. M. Prescott. ....
