"Dorothy and Janet, daughters of HarryM. Gray 1907, and granddaughters of JohnC. Gray 1878, are attending MiddleburyCollege, where they are prominent in thecollege activities.

"Dorothy, a senior this year, has beenchosen co-chairman for senior week. She isa member of her class hockey and volleyball teams, is head of women's basketball,and was chairman of the women's jubileemeet for this year's winter carnival. Lastyear she was on the junior prom committee, was a member of the women's gleeclub, and was on the Spanish carnivalcommittee. She was also chosen queen oflast year's ivinter carnival and junior promqueen. In her first, second, and third yearsshe was a member of the all-Middleburybasketball team, and in her first and thirdyears she played with the all-Middleburyvolleyball team. She has served on thegoverning board of the Mountain Cluband is a member of Pi Beta Phi. Dorothywas also elected the most popular girl atthe student election last spring.

"Janet, a sophomore this year, is studentgovernment representative from her class,is class secretary, and is on the sophomorehop committee. She is a member of herclass hockey, volleyball, and basketballteams. She is also a member of thewomen's glee club. Last year she was cochairman of the frosh frolic and was amember of the all-Middlebury basketballteam. She is Pi Beta Phi."

Bobby Cushman, son of Norman Cushman, has been making records in swimming at Andover Academy. He holds the record for the 200-yard free style event and is a member of the record-making 200-yard relay team.

Bishop Niles and Norman Cushman were in evidence at the Winter Carnival. Incidentally, their sons are both making honor rank in scholarship this year.

Allan Brown is spending the winter at Manatee, Fla. He runs a boys' camp at East Andover, N. H., in the summer. It is reported that he has recently had a visit with Dr. John Bowler, who is wintering at Miami.

Jack Downey has recently been elected assistant secretary of the Aetna Fire and the World Fire & Marine insurance companies. In announcing Jack's promotion, President W. Ross McCain states that Mr. Downey has had 28 years' underwriting experience and 14 years in the Aetna Fire's service.

"Following his graduation from Dartmouth in 190 J, Mr. Downey was an inspector for the Factory Insurance Associationfor three years, subsequently acting in thesame capacity for the Underwriters Bureauof New England for six years. He joinedthe special risk department of the Aetna asassistant superintendent in 1921, being advanced to superintendent three years later,and in March last further promoted tomanager of the department."

A letter from Charles E. Beals, from his home in East Bridgewater, Mass., gives evidence of his continued interest in class and college affairs.
