The Dartmouth College Club of New York has been a busy spot in the Metropolitan Area these early spring days.
Announcement of the winning of the College Club Bridge Tournament of Greater New York by the Dartmouth Club was received with great satisfaction.
At the Commodore Hotel, on March 13th, the Annual Dartmouth Alumni Dinner was attended by about 500. C. K. Woodbridge '04 presided. In a group of distinguished alumni were found Dr. Henry Mann Silver '72, Judge William N. Cohen '79, Henry B. Closson '79, Samuel Thomas King '80, William B. Greeley '81, and Otis E. Hovey '85. Class gatherings before and after the dinner were reminiscent of the old days. It was evident that Dartmouth alumni came in the belief that President Hopkins would say something worth-while, and long after the close the groups were commenting on the remarkable address.
The alumni were delighted to greet and welcome the Hon. George H. Moses 'go of New Hampshire, and they paid a great tribute to Earl Blaik, Dartmouth football coach.
Again the Dartmouth College Club sponsored the Dartmouth Sophomore Fathers Dinner, with a packed house on the night of April 2d, at the Club. Included in the group of fathers were Dean A. W. Taylor of New York University; Dr. W. E. Ray, father of Footballer Ray of the sophomore class; Ralph Starr Butler, a Michigan graduate, who has two sons at Dartmouth. Professors Gaz'.ey and Bradley told of the work being done by the class supervisors and opened up an intimate story of the inside workings of a modern institution. The moving pictures of Dartmouth College life were exceedingly enjoyable because they were well presented and the result of expert photography. It was a grand evening.
