Hardy, George F.—A two-line letter from George's office, showing he was try ing to be the first to respond to Alumni Fund suggestion.
Nelson, Sam B.—A letter as rare as a June day in Hanover. Is looking forward to the 50th. Says grandchildren have now reached a goodly number.
Pearson, Fisher H-Letter indicating surprise that the Secretary or any other member of the class is still living. Hopes to be able to pull through till the 50th. If he does, will walk to Hanover to attend Depression still violent, business rotten Seven grandchildren. And Fisher is cheer' ful.
Rand, Richard 8.-Dick takes time, which should be given to his patients! to write that life moves on, people are sick just as of old, but collections are nearing the vanishing point. Mrs. Rand, he records, met with a serious accident several weeks ago, causing concussion of the brain and serious injury to the back. Dick is able to report improvement.
Simonds, Benjamin S.-Ben has retired and is not yet on the "relief roll." Incidentally he is treasurer of the Building and Loan Association and secretary-treasurer of the Pottsville Club, so why should he be on the relief roll? Children all married and away from home. He says he and Mrs. Simonds are enjoying the best of health, and so far as he can see, "The Old Gentleman" can hang up his scythe for the next twenty years. "Please engage a room for me in Hanover for our 50th. 1938 is not far away."
