CLUB
October 1936

Rumors are again afloat that the Club will have a new bar, guaranteed to hold over four people, and accessible without the aid of guides, an alpinstock, or a sprig of eidelweiss in the hat. Details at present are pretty vague, but great things are hoped for Mr. Weitzel is pointing with considerable pride to the three new Dartmouth etchings which are on display up in the lounge, and which sell at $ 18.00 for the set. (advt.; as yet unpaid for.) . . . . Club officials are spending a half hour each day hardening their summersoftened hearts in an effort to prepare for the usual influx of near-to-tears freshman trying to cash checks .... more rumors hopefully predict a new ping-pong table to replace that shattered museum piece now staggering drunkenly about the pingpong room.
