The New York classmates held their September luncheon on September 9, with Freddie Batchellor, Bob Burns, Reg Colley, Anson McLoud, Emmett Naylor, Mike Readey, and Russ Pettengill in attendance. Craig Thorn was unavoidably absent because he was busy with moving his family to Pelham, also the home of Hal Prescott and Frank O'Brien. Craig came to Boston the latter part of September to attend a John Hancock Life Insurance Company convention. This kept him pretty busily occupied, but several of the Boston crowd visited with him.

Max Bonter looked up Jack Clough in Memphis and had a nice visit with him. Jack is in the real estate business and doing well. As far as'we know, Jack hasn't been back to Hanover since he left college, but we hope to get him back for the 30th, if the real estate business keeps up. Max is now in charge of sales for the Se-Ling Hosiery Mills, of Nashville, Tenn. Max dropped in on us in Boston just before the Norwich game, on his way to Hanover to visit his freshman son. Same old Max—we were glad to see him.
