Bell, Brett, Burns, Carroll, Chase, Chappelear, Cummings, Driscoll, Floyd, Fearing, Hawes, Hooker, Holmes, Lord, Mason, Murchie, Newton, Prescott, Peterson, Saville, Swenson, Watson, and Worthen attended the class dinner at the University Club the night before the Harvard game. For once, Joe Worthen had a better story than Al Newton. Joe in fact was a full lap ahead. The quartet sang until all the' rest of the '09 gang left, then gave a free concert in the lobby. Jake Mason was in particularly good voice. Mike Farley and Spaulding were laid up with the grippe and couldn't attend. Emile Erhard has moved to Hopedale and couldn't get in, and a few other regular attendants were unable to be present for one reason or another.
Arthur Graves, who has been practicing law in St. Johnsbury almost ever since .his graduation from Harvard Law School, has been highly honored in being elected president of the Vermont Bar Association. Such an honor is rarely bestowed on a lawyer at such a comparatively young age, and speaks most highly for his ability and standing among the members of the bar, who in fact really know each others' ability and character. Also Art and Warren Peck have been elected directors of the St. Johnsbury Country Club, one of the few country clubs that now have a substantial cash balance in the treasury.
Dick Beattey departed in November for his winter place in Palm Beach.

Ran into Pettengill at the Yale game. He was his usual buoyant self and apparently his business, unlike that of many of the class, has not suffered from the latest "temporary" depression.
Some of us played the Yale University golf course Saturday morning before the game. It's a magnificient course, and we plan to do it again next fall. The golfing members of the class will keep this in mind and see if we can't get up a regular class party next year, either for Saturday morning or Sunday morning.
