Fred Carroll, who is vice-president in charge of the trust department of the National Shawmut Bank of Boston, has been elected president of the Corporate Fiduciaries Association of Boston, composed of the Boston banks and trust companies. Fred's prestige in Boston banking circles has been constantly increasing.

Curt Sheldon is working hard for the Alumni Fund. Of course the situation is difficult for all of us and impossible for many. Those of us who can do so should give more liberally than ever, to help make up for those who will be forced to reduce their contributions this year through sheer necessity. It would be a fine thing if the class, in this trying time, should evidence its loyalty to the College by substantially increasing the number of contributors. Even for the large number of us who are most hard pressed, a small contribution will make no appreciable difference in our living, yet some of the members of the class have failed to contribute because they thought the contribution that they were able to make was too small to make any difference. This is emphatically not so. Give all that you can reasonably afford and be sure to give something, in any event. Get your name on the list. We need you with us morally as well as financially.

Bob Stone went fishing in May this spring, as usual, but in his case as in the case of his rival for fishing honors, Joe Worthen, we have never had tangible evidence of his success in catching anything.

Bill Ashworth is with the State Teachers School at Santa Barbara, Calif.

Dillingham's old company, Walter M. Lowney Company, was merged with numerous other concerns into Candy Brands, Inc., and Dill has been spending most of his time in New York since the first of January. Of course the candy business has been hit fully as hard as most other lines, and undoubtedly Dill has his problems. But Dill is one of the most cheerful, courageous fighters that we have in the class, and we have no doubt he will be one of the first to emerge into daylight. The family is still living in West Medford, Mass., while Dill is living temporarily at the Dartmouth Club in New York. Dill called on Nut Root and Russ Pettengill in Chicago recently, and also visited Russ' new office in New York, with which he was highly impressed. The interior is by Ned Ford.

If anyone knows the address of DeLappe or Stearns, we would like to have it.
