When our classmate, George H. Rockwood, died, October 30, 1935, in La Jolla, Calif., his body was cremated, the ashes to be interred later in Framingham, Mass. Mrs. Rockwood came on with them in October and the interment took place on the 17. Her son, George H. Jr. '24, of Summit, N. J., was present with her at the committal service, also several relatives of Mr. Rockwood from New Hampshire and relatives of Mrs. Rockwood from Framingham. Rev. C. H. Smith of Proctor, Vt., and Edward M. Nesmith of Melrose, Mass., were present to represent the class of '79. Mr. Smith spoke briefly of Rockwood's life and work, and then read the committal service. The widow of "Steve" Young '79 is living in Austin, Ill., where Rockwood's great work was done as principal of the high school for 25 years. In a recent letter Mrs. Young writes: "Every oneremembers Rockwood, young and old, andevery one loved him who knew him."

In the Batavia, N. Y., Daily News there was an item in August regarding the activities of Russell A. Wentworth '79, civil engineer and surveyor, who is one of the three oldest living members of the class. It says: "Mr. Wentworth, who began hispractice in Batavia in 1905 and served ascity engineer for a few years, lives at 100Ross St. He enjoys excellent health, andcarries on his daily work of surveyingfarms, sub-division of tracts into buildinglots, improveme?it of highways, and valuation of railroad property."

Dr. Leonard K. Graves' wife of Elmhurst, N. Y., who was in a hospital in New York from October to March with a broken hip, has so far recovered that she is able to walk down stairs and up again, and to some extent on the ground.

Judge William N. Cohen's only sister died recently in Rome, Italy. Cohen has been in the habit in previous years of visiting Ijer there each summer.

We are able to make a very unusual announcement to come from a class so long out of college. Edward M. Nesmith of Melrose, Mass., and Olive B. Chase of Milford, N. H., were married, June 5, in Brattleboro, Vt., by Justice of the Peace Carl S. Hopkins. Congratulations are very much in order.
