The October Conference of Educational Opinion is a New England organization with a selected membership limited to 190. It meets annually for three days of discussion—no reporters present—of vital educational problems. It has won a recognized position as a creator of educational thought. James N. Pringle, commissioner of education for New Hampshire, had charge of the program this year, and at the recent meeting held at the Crawford House, presided as general chairman. Frank C. Johnson is also a member of this conference.

Harold Shattuck, recently retired from his professorship at Pennsylvania State College, has spent the summer, the first in many years, in New England.

The many friends of Dave Maloney will be sorry to learn that his recovery has been slower than was anticipated, and he is still at the state hospital at Taunton.

The class has one more son at Dart- mouth. David A., youngest son of Hamilton Gibson, is a member of the freshman class.

Horace G. Pender, lawyer in I'.roofclvn, has changed his residence again. Each time he moves farther up the street. The new address is 40 Wyatt Road, Garden City, N. Y.
