The high standing of the Massachusetts judiciary has kept it remarkably clear from attack in recent years. We've just had an exception, however, for a lone marauder entered Bert Holland's home one pleasant afternoon in December and collected a pocketful of jewelry. Mrs. Holland returned just in time to disturb his explora- tions and to see him disappearing through a window. So far as I have heard, the matter rests there.

By the time you read this, the Salingers will be off for their usual February vacation in Florida.

You may recall that I gave you, as a winter address for Bliss, Box 76, West Beach, Miss. That is certainly the address given at the head of his letter, but when I wrote him there the letter came back, marked "no such post office."
