The American Ski Annual

The American Ski Annual 1935-36 published for the National Ski Association by the U. S. Eastern Amateur Ski Association, Bellows Falls, Vermont, has just appeared as a book of 192 pages. This volume is edited by Nathaniel L. Goodrich, Librarian, who contributed several editorials to the volume. In this volume are two articles by Dartmouth alumni—The NationalDownhill Championships by Charles N. Proctor '29, and These Amateurs by Charles M. Dudley '29.

Drama of Upper Silesia, a regional study by William J. Rose, former Professor of the Department of Sociology, has been published by the Stephen Daye Press, Brattle-boro, Vermont.

The December issue of PMLA (Publications of the Modern Language Association of America) has an article on L'Ombrede Madame Bovary by Professor Francois Denoeu.

Professor Adelbert Ames Jr. is the author of an article Aniseikonia—A Factorin the Functioning of Vision which has been reprinted from the November number of the American Journal of Ophthalmology.

The Microcosmographia of Trier MS.1041 by Professor John R. Williams has been reprinted from the December, 1934 issue of Isis.

The Hanover Gazette has been running a series of articles entitled Townsend Planfor Old Age Pensions Exposed for Reviewand Comment. The first article in this series appeared December 19 and was by Professor Earl R. Sikes. Later articles have been by Mr. J. M. McDaniel and Professors Clyde Dankert and Lloyd P. Rice. There will be others in the series.

Professor Charles J. Lyon is the author of an article Hemlocks and History in NewHampshire which appears in the New England Quarterly for December.
