Distinguished visitor to the Dartmouthcampus during the month of February wasPresident James Rowland Angell of Yale,now a member of the Dartmouth family byvirtue of the honorary Doctorate of Lawsconferred upon him by President Hopkinsat the formal ceremony marking the dedication of rebuilt Dartmouth Hall. President Angell entered wholeheartedly intothe spirit of the Dartmouth Night celebration and disclosed himself to be a speakerof polish and wit. President Hopkins, inintroducing him to the Dartmouth audience, complained that the distinguishedpresident of Yale University, with whom heplays golf in Maine each summer, is wontto bring up educational problems demanding an immediate answer just as he is aboutto putt; to which President Aiigell repliedthat after the distinguished president ofDartmouth College had taken seven oreight putts he felt obliged to say somethingto ease the embarrassment.
