The Dartmouth Rowing Club, now bearing the name of the College after special permission from the Athletic Council, will take to the waters of Lake Cayuga against the Cornell 150-pound crew on May 16, which is "Cornell Day" in Ithaca. The race will mark the first intercollegiate competition for Dartmouth oarsmen in decades.

The Green crew, under Coach Jim Smith of the Union Boat Club of Boston, began its 1936 season on April 16 with practice on Lake Mascoma, twelve miles from Hanover. The turnout this spring has been larger than at any previous time, and the two shells of the club have been in constant use. With 36 men signed up, Coach Smith is confident of producing a capable eight to meet the Cornellians.

Rowing plans for the spring also include races on Lake Mascoma and in Hanover on the Connecticut River.
