Fraternity Report
June 1936

To the Editor:

I was responsible for a failure to correct an error which occurred in an abstract of the fraternity section of the report of the Committee for Survey of Social Life at Dartmouth in the May issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. The biographical sketch of Colonel J. Frank Drake declared that he was a past-president of Theta Delta Chi. This is not true.

Colonel Drake has long been identified intimately with various Dartmouth alumni organizations, and has been honored by many of them with the presidency or other high office. He has been President of the General Alumni Association of Dartmouth College, a member of the Dartmouth Alumni Council, President of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Western Pennsylvania, President of the Tuck School Alumni Association, and, for many years a Trustee of the class of 1902. The corrected biographical list, as it appears in our Committee's official published report, follows:

J. FRANK DRAKE 'O2 President Gulf Oil Corporation Gulf Refining Company Standcar Securities Corporation and other corporations Chairman Mexican Gulf Oil Company Venezuela Gulf Oil Company Colombian Petroleum Company and other corporations Vice President Pittsburgh Equitable Meter Company United Petroleum Securities Corporation Director Pullman Incorporated American Rolling Mill Cos. and other corporations Former President of General Alumni Association of Dartmouth College Theta Delta Chi
