Here's my hand and "howdy" to everybody in '86. May we and Old Dartmouth have the best year yet.

"Biff" writes that the summer in Greensboro, Vt., has been like winter in Florida, and that he has his "genealogy" in press.

Newton says that he and Wardwell were the only 'B6 men at Commencement, and that a hot July motor trip to Quebec with Mrs. Newton tired her out. After the month of August at Gray Gables on Buzzard's Bay she is better. Billie has seen Burley and telephoned Pete. Both well. The Newtons will stay in Newton Center during the winter..

A card from Rose, Sept. 9, says that he and Mrs. Rose have just driven up to Newfane, Vt., to see Wiswall, and that Wissy is quite comfortable, able to be up and around the house.

Mrs. Snow writes that the cast is removed from her broken arm and that time will give her good use of it. Her courage is good, and she rejoices in her six grandchildren, three of whom live near.

I took luncheon, Sept. 8, with Tommy Harris in New York. He reports that Mrs. Harris suffers from arthritis. They visited their daughter Elizabeth Barton in Cotuit, Mass., in July. A baby daughter, Elizabeth, came to the Bartons last June to help her two-year-old brother Jimmy bring up Grandpa and Grandma Harris. Tommy's Elizabeth and Mrs. John French's Elizabeth, who married Ethan Allen Hitchcock last spring, were members of the same household in Cotuit for a short time during the summer.

Karl Goodwin, Sept. 8, says he has had a busy, fagging summer, but that during a week in August he with his daughter Pauline took a delightful and restful Great Lakes trip to Buffalo and back to Chicago.

The Thurston family are well. By arrangement that Newton made with Mr. Rugg of the Baker Library, Mr. Crane of the Brattleboro Printing Cos. and the Class Secretary have sent all the photographs and cuts used for the Class Reports of 1926, 1931, and 1936 for the permanent 'B6 file in the Baker Library. When you visit Dartmouth you ought to look them over. The Secretary still has copies of the 50th year report for distribution on request.
