Ellie Norris has had a busy winter with visits to family in Rochester and Wellesley. She reports that all families are full of sports and music. She sounds very cheerful.

The Robert and Naomi Borwell Research Building at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center was dedicated January 15. Present were Naomi (as a member of the board of trustees), Larry Leavitt, and RadfordTaxizer. Total cost was $32 million. Robert and Naomi had given $7.2 million. Great remembrance! Brandeis President Samuel O. Thier spoke, as did Donald Bardett, chairman of the Medical School Department of Physiology. Dr. Joseph E. Murray, winner of the 1990 Nobel Prize in medicine, participated in a symposium billed as a celebration of science for the 21st century.

Pete Blodgett bounced back nicely from his horrendous experience last October in New Brunswick, with Louise, when Murphy's Law dealt him a hard blow (car trouble, skunk raid, and he had a stroke). He spent Christmas with his nephew on the mountain top in Lyme, then went to Savannah for a lively time at New Year's followed by a successful quail shoot. While in Hanover he brought Larry and Dot Leavitt a partridge, a very special gift!

We are sorry to report that Joe Leavitt's wife, Gene, died in January. The class sends its deep condolences.

Web Collins reports that all is well with him at his lovely home on the hilltop looking over the bay on Cape Cod. He is in touch with Red Martin, who is also doing well. DonHunt writes a cheerful note. Says he and Barbara enjoy their apartment very much at 10 Long-wood Drive #320, Westwood MA 02090.

Radford Tanzer paid his annual visit to Sarasota to be with his sister. Great news from our oldest member, Waltvon Lehn, whose son Dr. Walt wrote at length to say the family was moving soon to Washington State and that Walt was approaching his 96th birthday on February 25. Remarkable! Congratulations are in order—Walt sets a record.

Bernard and Marian Levinson paid their annual visit to Margo Island, Fla. In January they attended a luncheon of the Dartmouth Club of Southwest Florida. Bernie was honored with a standing ovation as the "earliest alumnus" there.

Thought for the month: remember when we told the girls at Carnival to "Dress pretty and warm, not expensive and cold"?
