Referring again to the Proceedings ofthe U. S. Naval Institute of November, 1936, the magazine says: "Dr. Victor Safford is a resident of Boston and writesfrom a long and varied experience withpersonnel and military affairs Heserved on special assignments in the Coastand Geodetic Survey while taking upmedicine, and after postgraduate work atthe New York Polyclinic he held many important hospital positions in New York institutions. He entered the U. S. PublicHealth Service in 1895, and served in theSpanish-American War and the WorldWar, resigning from the federal service in1919. He is the author of various articlesrelating to immigration and to ethnology,and has been a frequent contributor tomedical journals and to other publication of articles of a medical character."

A news clipping says: "The bequest of$100,000 to Lyndon Institute by Col. Harley E. Folsom is the third legacy of a likeamount that the institution has receivedduring the administration of Principal

Gerould, who is now the dean of the acprofessors at Dartmouth, was on leave of absence for the second semester.

Hilton has had a real case of flu, so prevalent just now, especially in the West and his doctor has urged him to go to Florida as soon as he is able to travel, in order to get back his health and strength. It will be a disappointment to his many friends in the East if he is unable to attend the Alumni Dinner where he is scheduled to speak.
