Supreme Court Picture

A photograph of the nine justices of the United States Supreme Court, autographed by each, has been presented to the College by George Sutherland Elmore '37, of Washington, D. C., who is the grandson of Justice Sutherland. The photograph was displayed in Baker Library before being given a permanent home with the History Department. Very few autographed pictures of the full Supreme Court are believed to exist, and not only because of this rarity but also because of the important role being played by the Court in current American history, great value has been attached to the copy now in possession of the College.
