Mrs. Cheney writes that Clint has gradually improved since his set-back a year ago, but he still has to remain at home. He seems to enjoy reading the papers and doing jig-saw puzzles, and does not seem unhappy. His son has three children Mrs. Mills has been benefited by a sojourn in St. Petersburg, Fla Nearly 800 attended the alumni dinner Jan. 28. Clark, Lamprey, and Weston '92, Abbott '91, and Woods, Mann, Macdonald, and Hardy '90 sat at one table. The dinner was good, the speeches excellent, and it was a very pleasant occasion, particularly so for '90, as Hilton gave a very interesting talk on the high lights in the history of Dartmouth and some of her most distinguished alumni and presidents. He compared her early days with the last few decades. Many compliments were heard regarding the speeches of Hilton, Dr. Fuess of Andover, and President Hopkins. Altogether it was a very enjoyable occasion Prof, and Mrs. Gerould sailed the last of January on the Canadian National steamship Lady Nelson for Trinidad. Gerould will put in three months' research work at the Imperial College of Tropical Agriculture.
