Mrs. Herbert B. Maynard died at her home in Waterloo, lowa, on the tenth of February. She had been a prominent club woman and church worker, being at the time of her death the regent of the local chapter of the D. R. We recall her as a most welcome member of our group at both our fiftieth and fifty-fifth reunions.

Our classmate Snow has kept his eyes open as he has gone to various parts of the country in his work as an engineer. Your Secretary recalls receiving from him once, for the museum of Atlanta University, the tooth of a mastodon picked up in Montana.

On the 26th of January he sent to the curator of the museum of Dartmouth College, in Wilson Hall, a valuable collection of arrowheads and spearheads, one hundred thirty-eight in number, all (except one of clear quartz, given him by a native) picked up by himself on the banks of the Yadkin river, at Blewett Falls in North Carolina. There was also one celt, or axshaped stone, from Baltimore, Md. This collection, with the exception of the celt, will be exhibited as a unit. The curator writes concerning it: "We are indeed verygrateful to you for this gift, which fills anotherwise nearly blank space in ourseries." Let us all take pains to see this when we visit Hanover.

Secretary, West Townsend, Mass.
