Arthur Chase has written that he spent a long week-end, last October, with Willis Earle, at his delightful home in No. Thetford, where he spends seven or eight months of the year, in an old house which has been thoroughly modernized. He was going to Florida for this winter
Arthur has been in New Haven again, during the second winter of his retirement. Both daughters are with him this year; the teacher, during a year's leave of, absence, is taking some advanced courses in the University. All three are looking forward to a few weeks in Europe this summer
Ned Dearborn wrote that he has been obliged to slow down somewhat. Under the guidance of his physician he was "much better already," and was looking forward to getting out on the river soon.
