Brown Bequest
June 1937

By bequest of the late Albert O. Brown '78, former Governor of New Hampshire and a trustee of the College from 1911 to 1931, Dartmouth College will receive the sum of $250,000 and the residue of his estate, which may exceed $ 100,000. Governor Brown died at his home in Manchester, N. H. on March 28, after an illness of only a few days.

Coes North wood Academy, at which Governor Brown prepared for Dartmouth, will receive the income from a trust fund of $250,000. The total estate will approximate $1,000,000, it is believed. The will was filed for probate on April 19.
