Faculty First

The latest annual ranking by U.S. News & World Report of the nation's leading colleges put Dartmouth in first place among all major universities in a new category recognizing "outstanding teaching." This helped the College in the magazine's overall ranking. Dartmouth moved up a notch from eighth to a tie seventh (with Duke and Cal Tech). Harvard was first overall, with Princeton and Yale tied for second. Earlier this year, in the U.S. News ranking of business schools, Tuck moved from seventh place to sixth.
