Speaking engagements for President Hopkins during May included the annual dinner of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Connecticut at New Haven on May 13 and the meeting of the Princeton Graduate Council at Princeton on the following day. He also addressed the Secretaries Association at its dinner session in Hanover on May 8, the senior class at its first class supper on May 11, and the incoming and outgoing Interfraternity Councils at their joint dinner at the Outing Club House on May 10.

Other Dartmouth representatives during May included David M. Camerer '37, who spoke to the alumni of Worcester, Mass., on May lg; William H. McCarter '19. director of athletics, who addressed the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Northern New Jersey at Montclair on May 25; Dean Herluf V. Olsen '22 of Tuck School, who spoke at the combined meeting of the Dartmouth clubs of Nashua, N. H., and Lowell, Mass., at Lowell on May 27; and Dean EGordon Bill, who met with the Dartmouth alumni of Chattanooga, Tenn., on May 30. Dean Bill delivered the Commencement address at the Baylor School in Chattanooga on May 31. At the alumni gathering in Lowell, George W. Dana '38 entertained the Lowell and Nashua clubs with his impersonations.

SOUTHERN COUNCILOR Allan Gottschaldt '18 of Atlanta elected tothe Alumni Council for a second term ofthree years, one of three southern representatives on the Council.
