ST. Louis IS sending its largest delegation in its history to the College in the entering class of 1941. Ten boys from the vicinity are members of the new freshman class. This is more than double the average of the past few years. We are quite willing to take a few bows, as we believe the local alumni group has done a good job in keeping up the interest of the College.
We had the pleasure of having Director of Athletics, William H. McCarter '19, as our speaker at the annual banquet held on April 5. To the assembled Dartmouth men and their families and friends to the number of some sixty odd, Bill McCarter gave the latest dope about the College in a comprehensive manner, welcome to those of us who don't get back to Hanover very often. Movies of the 1936 football season were shown.
We still hold smokers once a month and the weekly informal luncheon each Saturday noon in the Versailles Room of the Hotel Mark Twain. Since my last communication to the ALUMNI MAGAZINE there have been two smokers, one at the home of Hugh Logan '35 on March 15, and the last at the home of Dr. Phillips Davis '16 on May 10. Plans are on foot for several picnic outings throughout the summer, the first tentatively planned for Sunday, June 6.
