THE NAMES of 394 Dartmouth students, representing exactly one-sixth of the undergraduates of the College, were included in the scholastic honor roll for the past year which was released in August by Robert O. Conant 'l3, registrar. The list of those with 3.0 or better contained nine more names than in 1936-37 and was made up of 143 seniors, 93 juniors, 72 sophomores, and 87 freshmen. The freshman group was the largest that has ever appeared in Dartmouth's annual report of distinctive scholastic accomplishment.

COLLEGE REPRESENTED IN NEW HAMPSHIRE SESQUI-CENTENNIAL PARADE Prof. E. Bradlee Watson 'O2 played the role of Dr. Eleazar Wheelock and rode in an oxcart in the parade celebrating the 150th anniversary of New Hampshire's signing theDeclaration of Independence, held in Concord, June 21. The College section of thepageant also included an ancient horse-drawn coach in which Madame Wheelock (Mrs.Watson) made the trip through the wilderness to Hanover accompanied by her daughters(Mrs. W. E. Stevens and Mrs. S. C. Hayward), and numerous slaves and students (whowere recruited from Concord, and vicinity for the occasion by Warren F. Hale '08).
