Hill has had another season at Lake Mohawk, but old acquaintances are becoming few and far between.

At the end of summer G. R. Clark and Mrs. Clark motored back to Davenport, lowa, completing a round trip of 3200 miles. The summer had been less satisfactory than previous summers in New England, and they were somewhat doubtful as to making the trip another year.

After a prolonged convalescence through the summer Peabody reports his present state as scarcely less than a full return to health.

McCutcheon, Hardison, and Piper were variously dealt with by the hurricane. About all was done that could be to McCutcheon's solidly built brick house prop- erty in Charlestown, Mass., in the blowing down of chimneys. Ten trees were uprooted on Hardison's grounds at Wellesley Hills; and several areas of pine forest were partially wrecked at Piper's summer home in Dublin, N. H.
