A HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL barn party sponsored by the Dartmouth Association of Western Penna. gave our Club its initial opportunity to contribute to the College Scholarship Fund. While neither farm costumes nor the usual square dancing prevailed, it was held in a barn and we did have a decided country odor. A substantial balance on the books and innumerable requests for more of the same, leads us to believe that we shall be able to contribute annually to scholarship needs of the College.

At the annual luncheon for undergraduates held during the Christmas holidays and attended by 55 Dartmouth men, we had the pleasure of welcoming Merrill Davis '38, captain of the undefeated 1937 eleven. Far from the ordinary remarks expected of an undergraduate, Davis gave us interesting sidelights and anecdotes of the various games and players. Satisfactory explanation was given of the "spinach" episode, of the Yale and Cornell tie games, and the "home made" scoring plays. The smashing climax came when Davis stated "Looks like we have the jinx on Yale!"

New faces in our group include F. H. Weed '14, the representative of the State Flood Prevention Committee, Lester J. Waldron '11 who is working for Pennsylvania Rubber Cos. and Jeanette and Fred Burleigh of 1928 who heads the Pittsburgh Playhouse in one of its most successful seasons.

For local alumni who have not been so informed and for out of towners, the weekly luncheon day has been changed to Wednesday at 12 o'clock in the bar of the Oliver Bldg. Restaurant. Stop In!
