An interesting letter from Browne, that he has recently twice had a collapse on his right side, and that as late as February 14. his right arm was still out of commission and he could not yet write. But his physician considered him as recovering. He also reported Mrs. Browne as very ill. Here's hoping that both are now much improved.

Foster is enjoying his annual pilgrimage to Panama, where he is occupying the same room as for the past fifteen years at the Grand Hotel Imperial in Colon.

A cordial invitation from Hale to your Secretary to visit him in the spring, and it will probably be accepted. He is quite lame and has not been out much this winter, and his eyes are giving him some trouble; but in other respects he is about the same as of old.

Secretary, West Townsend, Mass.
