Henry B. Johnson, Esq., the junior member of the firm of Niles & Johnson, attorneys and counselors at law, is continuing the business of the firm since the death of William W. Niles, an early secretary of outclass, and is making an outstanding reputation in his profession. He has recently removed from 56 Pine St. to 27 William St., New York City.

He was formerly engaged in a large real estate development on Long Island, but since the death of his partner his legal practice has demanded practically all of his time and attention.

I called upon him in his new offices last summer as he was about to depart for a vacation in the Adirondacks, and he then promised to write me from there about his activities during the past few years, but "the letter that I wished for never came."

It was pleasing to note the large number, —56, present at the get-together dinner tendered to class agents by the Alumni Fund Committee of the Alumni Council at the University Club, Boston, Tuesday evening, March 29 last, and the interest and enthusiasm shown in furthering the campaign this year. It was a little surprising that there was no representation of classes between '83 and '90. The older classes represented were 1876 by Dr. Henry H. Piper, 1878 by William D. Parkinson, and 1883 by Alfred E. Watson.

President Hopkins, in his usual felicitous manner, gave a vivid presentation of the affairs and needs of the College, in which the Alumni Fund affords a great help each year, and Chairman Larmon and Executive Secretary Dickerson outlined the plans for the Fund campaign this year.

Notwithstanding the. unexpected recession in business this year, which appears to affect business quite as much as the recent depression, it is hoped that Dartmouth loyalty will give a satisfactory total at the end of the campaign.
