With the death of Edward Tuck '62 Dartmouth records the passing of its senior graduate. Mr. Tuck was not senior in point of years as Dr. Zeeb Gilman '63 celebrated his 97th birthday on May 13. Dr. Gilman, now senior graduate, was born in Piermont, N. H., May 13, 1841. He attended Kimball Union Academy and entered Dartmouth in the fall of 1859. In College he played football and baseball and joined the Dartmouth Zouaves and Dartmouth Cavalry. After graduation he studied medicine in his father's office in Piermont, later completing his course and graduating from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City in 1867.

He practiced medicine in Newark, N. J., and Eldora, lowa, until January, 1881, when he gave up his practice to become Clerk of the Circuit Court, later engaging in the lumber business in Webster, lowa.

Moving to California in 1898 he continued to lumber and further engaged in shipping fish East in cold storage.

On May 18, 1875, he married Miss Ella Klock of Freeport, 111., and six children were born of the union. The family home is now in Redlands, California.
