It is with sadness that we record the death on May 6 of Ellen Huntington Fletcher, widow of the late Professor Emeritus Robert Fletcher of the Thayer School. Ellen Huntington was born in Etna August 8, 1847, and spent her girlhood there and in Hanover Center. On July 2, 187s, she was married to Robert Fletcher, who had just completed his first year's work as director of the new Thayer School. Mrs. Fletcher is survived by a daughter, Miss Mary Fletcher. A son, Robert Fletcher, a graduate of Dartmouth in 1896, died June 26, 1919.

By the time this column is in the press, the Second year class of five men will have passed from their present status of students to the rank of alumni of the Thayer School. The graduation exercises are scheduled to be held on May 27 in the Thayer School Library, where the presentation of degrees will be made by Dr. John F. Gile, representing the board of trustees. While this group of graduates is low in number, they are very high in ability, and we feel real satisfaction in their successful work at the Thayer School.

May we remind those of the alumni planning to be here for Commencement that the meeting of the alumni will be held at the Thayer School on Friday, June 15, in the evening after the President's reception. Some member of the staff will be present at the school the entire week-end, so don't hesitate to drop in at any time to inspect the building, to say "hello" to the faculty, discuss next year's football team, etc.

Miss Mildred Smith, our efficient secretary and librarian, is leaving the Thayer School in June, when she will be married to George Cheever of Boston, Mass. It js with great regrets at her departure but with sincere best wishes for the future happiness of the newlyweds-soon-to-be that we record this change in the personnel of the school.

Ed Coakley '34 is construction inspector for Federal Housing in New York.

Ed Elsenhans '36 is now in the employ of Gannett, Eastman, & Fleming of Harrisburg, Pa. Dan Taggart '37 is another Thayer School man in the employ of this firm.

Yours for a pleasant summer—and more news for this column.
