Philip Fox, who is director of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, writes that the Museum entered its final stage of preparation on December first, when the completed building was turned over for the installation of exhibits. He is still acting as an observer at the Dearborn Observatory at Evanston, keeping up his astronomical work. Fox reports four children: Stephen Snow Fox, who is employed by Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Cleveland and who has one son, Stephen William Fox; Bertrand Fox, Ph.D., teacher of economics at Williams, who also has a son, Philip; a daughter, Gertrude Fox, M.D., now an intern at Los Angeles General Hospital; and a son, Robert Temple Fox, a student in the second year at Northwestern Medical School.
Robert Braintly Hill 2d, son of William Carroll Hill, graduated from Vermont Academy at Saxtons River last June and entered Dartmouth in the fall. While in Vermont Academy he was on the football squad, also in the glee club, and took part in several plays. He proved a good point winner on the track, taking three firsts and a second in the quarter mile in four successive meets.
Arba Irvin writes from Chicago that his son Jim is with the United States Rubber Export Company and sailed on December 9 for Caracas, Venezuela, to be in their office there for the next two or three years. Arba saw Neale Carley on the street some time ago. Carley has retired from teaching in the Francis W. Parker School in Chicago.
The Secretary regrets his oversight in not writing before of the announcement received from Robert B. and Mrs. Clark of the marriage of their daughter, Clara Sherman Clark, to Alan Willard Bryant on the first of October in the First Unitarian church in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Bill Mahoney is with the Merchants Association at 233 Broadway, New York, with which he has been associated for the past twenty-five years. He was unable to be present at the last reunion of the class because of illness, but is now in good health.
Farwell's daughter Alice was married on October 24 to Charles F. McCann of Wilmette, Ill. Mr. McCann is now employed by the telephone company in Chicago, and they are at present living in Waukegan, Ill.
