Well, old Gus has gotten himself into the soup again; frankly, I can't think of a tougher job than to try to live up to Reg Pierce's fabulous five years as Class Secretary and ALUMNI MAGAZINE class column editor. Anyway, if all the group who told me they would "keep in touch" will do so, it will sure help considerably take note Ted Fajen. Reg Pierce, Frank Ettari, Jack Marlette, Dick Scharrer, Jack Whitman, Bob Kimball, Spence Smith, Fred Wilmot, Gene Bokor and others. Let me hear from you and what '46s you are seeing.

It would be a gross understatement to say that our Tenth Reunion was terrific. Everyone connected with it did an outstanding job and hats off to all of them. Again thanks to Reg and Nancy Pierce for five great years of leadership and I am delighted that Reg has consented to continue as Class Chairman. We thought his write-up of the reunion was "the most."

POST REUNION TIDBITS: The list of new class officers omitted Frank Ettari as Fifteenth Reunion co-chairman —we know he will do a good j0b.... Dave Weld looked like a "real pro" with a different "alligator" each day. Several weeks before the reunion Dave got five other former Big Green golfers together and played the Dartmouth varsity an 18-hole match in Hanover — need I say "HoseNose" led the alumni to victory....CharlieVaniman, the erstwhile bachelor Ford peddler from Trotwood, O. (greater Dayton), fell in love with Hanover all over again and spent several days at the Inn after the reunion.

J., comes news of Bob Norris, recently featured in an article in The Caldwell Progress concerning the Norris family and their operation of the H. E. Schanz Hardware Store. You can address him at 340 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell, N. J... . Larry Jaffe has been appointed a vice president of Erwin, Wasey and Company, a New York City advertising agency. Larry was formerly with McCann-Erickson until he joined his present company in March of 1955. Larry resides in East Chester, N. Y Our esteemed former class treasurer, Charlie Duncan, received quite a bit of publicity several months ago when he acted as counsel for the defense in the trial of the well-known Communist leader, James E. Jackson Jr. Charlie, as would be expected, has distinguished himself in law work in New York and Washington, and at present is engaged in private practice with Reeves, Duncan and Robinson in Washington. He has been admitted to practice before the U. S. Supreme Court and has been active in various civic affairs; he participated actively in the NAACP and in preparing briefs in the School Segregation cases. In addition to all the above Charlie is a part time member of the faculty at Howard University Law School. As you can see our boy Charlie is fast achieving the success that we all knew he would attain. His father, Todd Duncan, the famous singer, was in the U. S. troupe of opera singers that recently toured the USSR.

Joe Vancisen '44, who has just been named head basketball coach at Yale, stopped through with wife Lizan and two little Vans on their way from Minnesota to New Haven.
