As THESE NOTES will not see the light until February, your correspondent refuses to report news relating to the last football season, even though a fine crowd of eastern Dartmouths stopped in Chicago twice between trains on the big Stanford peerade. Furthermore, I have no notes of these stops other than the information that informal geniality prevailed.

The Chicago Association shifted into high gear for the Christmas holidays. With the undergraduates home, the annual Fathers' and Sons' luncheon was held December 28th at The Union League Club. Effective oratory was produced by Charles Dostal, father of the junior tackle. Henry Hilton '90 spoke briefly on the history of Dartmouth, placing special emphasis on the period 1769 to 1894 and paying tribute to alumni achievements during that time. On December 30th the Dartmouth wives were treated to a cocktail party at the Racquet Club for their fine aid generously given on numerous occasions. Under the expert direction of John Goodwillie '31 and assorted ex-Glee Clubbers the party was thoroughly enjoyable.

Weekly luncheons on Wednesdays are still being held at The University Club of Chicago.
