IN ANNOUNCING the annual undergraduate play-writing contest, which closes March so, the Dartmouth Players revealed that Mrs. N. A. Irost of Hanover had contributed $1,000 to insure the continuance of the annual awards of $100, $25 and $15 for the best original plays written for Experimental Theatre production. Mrs. Frost's fund supplements an earlier gift of the same amount and makes the annual prizes available for thirteen more competitions. The Experimental Theatre award will be known as the Eleanor Frost Prize.

The donor is the wife of the late N. A. Frost, bank president, Hanover merchant, and friend of the College. She has for many years been interested in the dramatic activities of the College, particularly in the original student plays produced each spring by the Experimental Theatre.

The play-writing contest, under the direction of Prof. E. Bradlee Watson '02 of the English department, is open to all undergraduates of the College. From the manuscripts submitted a limited number will be selected for presentation by the Experimental Theatre, and the Frost prizes will be awarded to the three plays judged best.
