If it is necessary to delay the printing of this number of the MAGAZINE in order to recount the doings and sayings of the Parker House Gang at their meeting this Friday afternoon, March 10, so be it.

The meeting was held in special honor of Aubrey Lewis and Woody Parker. Neither of them showed up,—Aubrey on account of illness and Woody on account of being too busy.

P. Marden reported that he had gotten up from a sick bed to come, his sickness having started immediately after the Secretary visited him a week ago Sunday. Incidentally, P. announced that he was a step-grandfather.

Bud Lyon averred that he had seen a picture of Kent Knowlton's daughter Marjorie in the Boston Herald the day before. Inquiry developed the fact that she is News Editor of the Simmons College News.

Along side this should be put the fact that Aubrey Lewis' daughter Frances is editor-in-chief of her college newspapeCoker College in South Carolina. In the letter which Aubrey sent explaining his absence from the luncheon he referred to explorations which Frances was making with regard to continuing newspaper work after her graduation. One imagines that a main reason why Aubrey sent his daughter South was because the college commencements down there are earlier than they are North. Hence, we can expect the entire Lewis family at the forty-fifth reunion next June.

Matt Jones and B. Smalley were temporarily diverted from the subject which they usually discuss at these meetings to a discussion of the merits of telephone advertising. Beginning in a somewhat controversial spirit, the discussion became more and more amicable, until the lion was evidently lying down inside the lamb and nobody knew which was which.

The Secretary had supposed that he was the only one who would count the number of '94 men in the Who's Who list given in the last MAGAZINE. Others had evidently counted, with the unanimous agreement that eleven '94 men were in that list.

Discussion of the forty-fifth reunion centered around the headquarters which the Bursar of the College had just announced would be North Massachusetts Hall.

P. Marden has changed the name of this gathering to "Gas House Gang." This will permit the luncheons hereafter to be held at another place, presumably the Bellevue.

The Secretary brought word that three '94 men were now hibernating at Winter Park, Fla., namely, Q. Blakely (who went there the last of February), Herman Lovejoy, and the inveterate resident of that town, Edwin Osgood Grover. Here's opining that there will be "a hot time in the old town tonight," and every night.
