Thought for the month: Old age is no bar to men chasing women - it's just that they forget why. The news was good from Washington, D.C., where Mike Cardozo made a remarkable recovery from a two-month siege of staphylococcal pneumonia. And convalescing in Hollywood, Fla following a total hip replacement, is Addie Walser. We wish her a rapid recovery at 911 N. Northlake Dr., Hollywood, FL, (305) 922-7765.
The Class Officers Weekend was in May, and we were represented by Art Allen, LiesonPeerpont, Olmsted, and Stoiber. After the meetings there was a class dinner at the Norwich Inn.
We talked with Pete Knight about his munificent gifts to the ledyard Canoe Club. One was for an endowment in memory of BenDrew, and the second for the Canoe Club, a total of more than $50,000. Pete has been contending with Parkinson's disease, and his address and phone are: 2228 Elandon Dr., Cleveland, OH 2 872 2 -7413; (216) 721 -8493.
Bob Rheinhardt has entered the class of '32 great-grandfather derby with five, thus leading Jay Whitehair's four. But Bob has four more acquired through his second marriage. We've got to have a level playing field for this contest, so we will ask the executive committee to rule whether to include great-grandchildren acquired through plural marriages. This will be done at the mini.
Our ranks continue to thin. We have lost Ambrose L. Cram, Reuel N. Denney William J. Bennett, and Edgar C. Dixon. And Peg Morton, widow of Bill, died in May. MINI-REUNION: October 20-21
