65 In just a few weeks, hundreds of classmates will join the trek back to Hanover to discover what others have experienced during the past 30 years: the joys, sorrows, accomplishments, regrets, talents, and dreams of the members of the class of 1965. "The Roads Lead On" will present us with an opportunity to reflect on the past and our future. Some of us have taken a road that was planned, measured, and followed without detour. Many others have traveled paths never dreamed of while we were undergraduates, and our lives have been profoundly affected because we have chosen the road "less traveled by." Let us gather together June 15-18 to look back on those better stretches of road that we have encountered.
Who will be there? Our "wish list" includes you, and we hope to see Hugh McGee, Jim Mechenbier, Brian Porzak, Ron Riley, and Dave Weber. If you arrive early, you will have a better chance of fin cling Jeff Carlson, Jock Hosmer, Sven Karlen, Dennis Bekemeyer, Weaver Gaines, Dick Avery, or Roger Rines. Come to the Glee Club concert and look for one of the many men named Michael: Crall, Zook, Jubien, Crawford, Lewis, Mascari, Schiffman, and Woodbury, among dozens of others.
Go to the Storrs Pond picnic and look for Dean Mosher, Chuck Lobitz, Bill Marco, Jack McLean, Art Rainey, Herb Carlson, Larry Hunt, and Jim Kingsdale. If you attend the class symposium, be on the lookout for A1 Boyce, Andy Anderson, Larry Goldberger, Pete Jones, Dick Shaw, Tom Long, Ron Mario, and Pete Baumbusch. Please attend the class meeting and the election of class officers. You might see Frank Hermes, Jeff Davis, Kent Salisbury, Jay Wright, Paul Pickrel, Charlie LaFiura, or John Drake.
On Saturday we will have a clambake, an auction, and Karaoke singing. That's where you might spot the likes of Ivars Janieks, StuKeiller, Bruce Gottschall, Chuck Cumming, Jim Markworth, Charlie Strauss,Jack Mac Donald, or Dan Morley. Come on over to the class tent next to Rollins Chapel and look for Art Yasuda, Bill Harper, BobJustice, Zach Hahn, Chris Fisher, MarkBrodky, Tom Hanson, and Walter Harrison. If you are interested in the Reunion Row, golf, or tennis, you might find classmates such as Dick Durrance, Larry Duffy, BillWebster, Kris Green, Jim Hartmann, EdHolmes, John Bullock, John Richardson, and Alan Munro.
Take a walk across the campus to visit your favorite spots, and try to bump into people such as Rich Bloch, Don Burland, PeterBush, Walter Harrison, Neil Grossman,Jens Sorensen, Duker Tompkins, JoshTaylor, and Sid Marshall. Head over to the Hop and you might encounter Rob Williams,Sid Stein, John Wright, Roddy Powers,John Poole, Ken McGruther, Larry Manchester, Bob Lichtenwalter, or EricEngstrom.
Pick up your copy of the 25th Reunion Yearbook and look through the pages for other names and faces that could be in Hanover for die 30th. In a few weeks you will be reading about those who came and enjoyed the weekend. Make sure your name is on the list. In the meantime, think Green.
