ONE MORE SUCCESSFUL Annual Dinner ... .and Dartmouth Night! We assembled at the Presidio Golf Club in San Francisco on March 9. The club host, Bill Nigh '26, had entertained the golfers by permitting Line Wilson '13 and Naason Young '17 to win the match. The out-oftowners showed up next; Walter V. Hayt '78 came the greatest distance, from Lincoln, and Wynne Matteson '03, the only out-of-State representative, was with us from Denver. His visit was prompted by the meeting of American Road Builders at the Golden Gate Exposition.

Forty Dartmouth men and our adopted son, Don Liebendorfer, Stanford Pub. Mgr., gathered around the board for one of the finest dinners we have ever had. We appreciate Don's presence and loyalty, in view of the fact that the day was also Stanford Founder's Day, the occasion for Stanford meetings all over the world. Don stayed with us and later in the evening showed us the moving pictures of the entire Dartmouth-Stanford football game.

Past President Ray Taylor 'll summed up the progress of the past year—

1. Founding of an Association Scholarship Fund 2. Incorporation of a Dartmouth Outing Club of Northern California 3. Most enjoyable weekly luncheons every Monday Nominating committee chairman, A 1 Livingston, took the floor with absolute confidence that his committee had done a great job.

Pres.—Guy P. Wallick '2l, vice pres.—J. Richard Townsend '23, sec.-treas.—B. L. Winslow '2O, asst. sec.—W. D. Evans '33.

Bill Nigh '26 was delegated to serve on our alumni scholarship comm. for three years succeeding Guy Wallick. Other members of that committee are Line Wilson 'l3, and "Gob" Des Marais '26.

Missed at this annual dinner was Selden C. Smith '97 who passed away at his home in Berkeley, Feb. 26, 1939. As Bob Leavens reminded us, however, Selden was right there with us and always will be. The tribute paid Selden by this group only partially demonstrates the feelings we have for all that he has done to help us to be the association we are.

The Golden Gate International Exposition is under way. It started out with two weeks of the finest California sunshine in history, true to advance publicity. Although it is raining today, we know that soon after you read this column we can guarantee sunshine every day. There isn't a spot in these United States more beautiful than Treasure Island day and night. Don't fail to see it and remember our weekly luncheons every Monday. Plan your trip for a Monday in San Francisco. Look us up in the telephone directory when you arrive. Call us and we will make your stay here more enjoyable. Those present: '7B, W. V. Hayt; 'B7, A.
