THE ANNUAL FAMILY gathering of the Dartmouth men in Florida, their wives, and friends, was held in St. Petersburg on February 24th. Mrs. Mary Frost (Mrs. Edwin B. Frost '86) continued the pleasant custom of entertaining us at tea in the afternoon at her home in that city. Mrs. Glenn Gould '16 and Mrs. Carrol Hill '20 poured. This afternoon affair afforded an excellent chance to meet informally old friends and new. About fifty sat down to dinner at the Shrine Club in the evening. Henry H. Austin 85 presided and introduced several speakers, including Fred C. Cleaveland '95, John A. Muehling for 61 years on the Manchester Union, who spoke of the things about newspapers which most of us overlook, and A. E. Moreau, '37 Hon., who headed the citizens committee to save Manchester after the liquidation of the Amoskeag Mills. The second half of the program consisted of the showing of three reels of the best Carnival films ever seen here. The officers chosen for the next year are Herbert E. Gage '87 pres., Stephen Chase '96 vice pres., and Carrol E. Hill '20 sec. and treas. The earliest class was represented by Dr. Henry Mann Silver '72. The invocation was pronounced by Rev. T. C. H.
