MARCH 5TH WAS DARTMOUTH DAY at St. Petersburg and vicinity. In the afternoon Mrs. Edwin B. Frost ('86) gave a delightful tea at her home, assisted by Mrs. Glenn C. Gould ('16) and Mrs. Carrol E. Hill ('20). In the evening alumni and guests, to the number of 45 assembled at the Shrine Club for dinner. Fred C. Cleaveland '95 was master of ceremonies and introduced Professor Ralph A. Burns from the College, who gave a very favorable view of how the War is affecting the spirit of the faculty, students and village people. This was followed by two reels of motion pictures, one showing the Library, the other a Ledyard Canoe Club trip in high water. The officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: president, Fred C. Cleaveland '95; vice president, Glenn C. Gould '16; secretary-treasurer, Carrol E. Hill '20.
Among those present at one or both of these functions were: Tilton C. H. Bouton '78, Henry H. Austin '85, William P. Kelly '86, Herbert E. Gage '87, Stanley E. Johnson '87, Fred T. Dunlap '88, H. F. Spencer '88, Harry M. Frost '89, Frank E. Leavitt '91 Ag., Louis J. Mason '93, Fred C. Cleaveland '95, Frederick B. Eaton '96, Howard D. Atwood '05, Glenn C. Gould '16, Carrol E. Hill '20, Douglas H. Kelly '32, most of whom attended with their wives. Dr. Henry Mann Silver '72, an habitual attendant, sent a telegram from his home in New York City. Mrs. Edwin B. Frost ('86), Mrs. Harry T. Lord ('87), and Mrs. Frank A. Davis ('88 Med.), and a number of parents and others intimately associated with the College, were very welcome guests.
