OVER FOUR HUNDRED alumni and friends attended the annual concert of the Glee Club held at the Montclair Athletic Club April 1. The singers were in good voice. Their capable leader, Don Cobleigh, left the piano intact this year, ancl the program was well planned and thoroughly enjoyed. The dance music by the Barbary Coast produced some steps that the secretary had never before witnessed not all of which were tripped by the undergraduates.

Although the evening was a very stormy one, and our annual dinner had been held just three weeks previously, the turnout at this affair was the largest ever to attend a Dartmouth party in this section. The chairman of the general committee in charge, Sumner A. Perkins 'si, did a beautiful job and sincerest congratulations are due him. John G. MacKechnie '31, our new treasurer, who was official tubthumper, contributed a fine job which netted two or three notices in about thirty local metropolitan newspapers and magazines. Gordon M. Carver '31, who headed up our whispering campaign, or telephone sales squad, kept the wires so busy that the local telephone company is considering him for its sales manager.

We are now looking forward to a banner season next fall under our new pres., Julius A. Rippel '23, who will carry on activities where ex-pres. Charles S. Bishop '26, left off. Charlie deserves a rising vote of thanks from all alumni in Northern New Jersey for the leadership and inspiration he has given this club during his administration. It has been the most successful year the club ever had.
