At the commencement exercises in June, at Hebron Academy, Hebron, Maine, Charles W. Stevens was awarded the Reed Prize for General Improvement in Scholarship, Athletics and Personality. Charles has gone back for his junior year, and plans to go out for the swimming team, of which he was a member last year.

Ros Bogue was in Cleveland this summer with the Commandery from Lansing, Michigan of which he is a member, and was greatly pleased to have his organization win a prize in the competition. While in Cleveland he looked up Mortie Crowell and had a very fine reunion with Mort and his family. They had such a good time together that they are now planning on coming on together next June for our 40th reunion.

At commencement in June, at the annual meeting of the General Alumni Association, Everett M. Stevens was elected a member of the executive committee for the ensuing year.

Preliminary arrangements are being made for the reunion next June, and more definite ones will be made in the very near future. It is not too early to plan now to be in Hanover at that time. Time is slipping away fast, and we should all make it while we can. Special attention is being made to make everything as simple and informal as possible, and all events in and about Hanover.

Charlie and Helen Chase were in Hanover at Commencement to see son Richard get his A.M. degree. Richard graduated with honors in 1938, and has been assistant in the chemistry department for the past two years, and this fall has a position teaching in the University of Illinois.

Bill Cheever has been busy all summer at the Allen A Camps on Route 28 in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. He reports a very fine business this year; Bill looks after all the construction, has built several new cabins, and a most interesting and clever recreation building.
