Our sincerest sympathy is extended to Harland Cate in the loss of his wife, Ethel, who passed away March 5 while they were spending the winter in Ormond Beach, Fla. A most loyal attendant at all class gatherings she will be greatly missed.
Unforeseen difficulties have arisen and it is considered better to forego our informal gathering in Hanover this year. Special action will be taken to emphasize our grand 60th in '61. However, if any classmates still wish to gather in Hanover this June for a strictly informal party they can secure reservations at the Inn through Mr. McFate.
Once again we are in receipt of the mostest of all Town Reports, that of the Town of Westford, Mass., compiled by Alice and Deacon Hildreth, the Town Clerks. The town is of special interest to your secretary in that his maternal grandfather was the proprietor of Butterfield's Tavern in Westford during the 1840s.
